B2B Bank is now Hiring and E-Learning Specialist
This position is primarily responsible for the authoring, development and maintenance of eLearning training materials. The position is also responsible for the design and delivery of classroom-based training as needed.
Assess individual knowledge and skills to identify learning gaps and conduct larger learning needs analyses as required.
Research and design and/or redesign learning programs (eLearning and/or classroom-based) adhering to adult learning principles and instructional design methodology as well as ensuring that learning occurs in a timely and cost effective manner.
Develop training using a blended learning approach and develop materials including trainer and participant guides, job aids, eLearning modules and presentations using various experiential methods to reinforce the learning.
Train new hires and/or existing employees on the specifics of their new job function.
Plan and deliver programs to various group sizes from 1-on-1 coaching to small and/or large group learning as required.
Coordinate training deployment schedules and prepare individualized training plans for B2B Bank employees.
Conduct learning assessments to measure level of understanding and retention.
Evaluate training programs and ensuring that they meet client requirements.
Keep up to date with all B2B Bank products and services, as well as operational process and procedural changes, industry changes and/or regulatory changes, ensuring that an “Expert” level of knowledge is maintained.
Keep activity statistics and produce monthly reports.
Coordinate administrative details for programs as required.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in instructional design, education or a related field, and 5+ years of related work experience.
CTP or CTDP designation is an asset.
2 to 4 years of experience specifically in the design of eLearning courseware, with 2 to 4 years experience training in the financial services industry with operational knowledge of Investment Lending, Mortgage, Self Directed, Deposits, and Banking products, as well as account administration and intermediary services for independent financial advisors, mortgage brokers, and MFDA, IIROC and AMF dealers.
Experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive new hire onboarding, product, system and regulatory training programs.
Proficiency in applications used to create interactive online instructional materials (e.g. Adobe Captivate).
Working knowledge of integrating audio, video, simulations and animations using eLearning development tools.
Knowledge of web-based learning, eLearning standards (e.g. SCORM), virtual learning, mobile learning and improving face to face delivery through a blended learning approach.
Strong computer skills in all MS Office Suite products, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as working knowledge of Snag-It, Adobe Captivate, Illustrator, Photoshop and Professional is required.
Demonstrated presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while multi-tasking is essential in this role.
Strong research skills with the ability to translate complex process/procedural data into everyday business language.
Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating tact and diplomacy; while maintaining confidentiality required.
Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
