    We are seeking a Lead, Teaching and Learning to guide and oversee the processes and team dedicated to Robertson supporting Robertson Online students as they engage in their journey at the College.

    General Responsibility    

    Supporting the Director, Campus Operations, the Lead, Teaching and Learning, is a member of the Online Teaching and Learning team, and responsible for the day-to-day leadership and guidance of the Education team to support student engagement in their programs, instructional excellence, all to ensure student success.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Teaching and Learning Team
    With the Campus Director, sets metrics and standards for the team; monitors the metrics and outcomes
    ●    Ensures compliance with PVI regulations for programs/education and instructor qualifications
    ●    Develops policies and procedures as required
    ●    Participates in training of staff, hiring, and performance assessment as is assigned by the Director

    Online Education
    Maintain the delivery of high-quality online program delivery through:
    ●    researching and implementing best practices for online instruction and adult and vocational education
    ●    developing and providing resources for instructors and students
    ●    working with the student support team to identify areas of continued instructional improvement
    ●    maintaining and updating programs and courses in the LMS, as needed
    ●    working with the Academic Development team to ensure the successful implementation of new programs and revision of existing programs.

    Instructor Support
    Maintain the delivery of high-quality online instruction through:
    ●    Recruiting, selecting, onboarding and orienting, supervising, developing, and evaluating online faculty
    ●    Developing  measurements to ensure an efficient and effective evaluation of instructors
    ●    Ensuring all faculty meet College standards with respect to curriculum and program delivery
    ●    Responding  to student concerns regarding content and instruction
    ●    Keeping faculty updated of new changes or new directions
    ●    Providing training and professional development opportunities for instructors

    Hours of Work
    Robertson Online includes students from across Canada, in multiple time zones. The Lead, Teaching and Learning, will be expected to support all students and faculties.  This will require that the Lead has flexibility, exceptional time management abilities and will exercise discretion in choosing and working the schedule required to align with their accountabilities. The Lead will also need to ensure that the Teaching and Learning Team supports instructors who are in the various time zones and will need to schedule the team appropriately.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    ●    Post-secondary education and direct work experience in education
    ●    In-depth knowledge of post-secondary systems preferred
    ●    In-depth understanding of curriculum theory
    ●    Knowledge of best practices for online and adult learning
    ●    Experience with training/development of instructors and development of instructional materials
    ●    Excellent customer service skills and team development
    ●    Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, and intermediate experience with databases.
    ●    High comfort level in learning new software.
    ●    Minimum of 2 years of experience with a Learning Management system (Brightspace preferred)

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Online Campus Administration - Day to Day Operations

    • Participates in the development of and execution on the vision and strategic direction for the institution in concert with senior management, ensuring academic excellence, and unit profitability.
    • Manages/achieves the key metrics of the institution.  Key metrics include: student retention, student support, approved budgets, new programs, program rollout, graduate employment rates, graduate starting salaries, employer network, and student, graduate and employer satisfaction.        
    • Provides leadership and input into delivery models as well as continued improvement of current offerings.  Assures compliance with federal, provincial and accrediting body standards and regulations, as well as adhering to all policies and procedures.
    •  Ensures strong human resources management through hiring, developing, leading and evaluating an effective management team, staff, and faculty.  Manages campus succession plan and professional development program.  Responsible for overall staff and faculty engagement.
    • Maintains a desirable, attractive and safe campus environment.  Ensures facilities are well maintained. Assesses campus resources needs and ensures that proper planning, acquisition and implementation occurs.  Provides input on utilization of resources.
    • Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships and alliances, including positive relationships with students, alumni, faculty, staff, the educational community, the local community of the campus, and business leaders.
    • Plays a major role in preparing the campus for self-studies, focus visits, and comprehensive visits.  Leads the campus in developing and nurturing relationships with regard to programmatic accreditation.
    • Leads institutional planning and research and outcomes assessment activities for the campus.  Ensures discussion of research and outcomes at the campus, culminating in appropriate plans and action.  Takes an active leadership role in all departmental reviews.
    • Regularly required to communicate professionally in person, over the telephone, through email and other electronic means, move about the office or school, handle various types of media and equipment, and visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
    • Oversees day to day education operation including graduation planning
    • Leads and participates in relevant internal and external committees related to learning and teaching.

    Education and Instructor Support

    • Provides clear and consistent training to education team members.
    • Has a working knowledge of best practices in online education and adult education and works with the Education team to ensure these are part of program delivery
    • Promotes professional activities in online teaching and learning.
    • Works with the LMS manager to ensure the consistent use of the system, in alignment with best practices for online learning

    Student Support

    • Develops and coordinates, in collaboration with other departments, Robertson Student Support plan to contribute to increased student satisfaction and retention rates.

    Practicum and Career Services

    • o    Oversees the planning and development of enhanced network of practicum and employer partners.
    • o    Is aware of, and gathers information about best practices in career  services for online learning and works with the Career and Practicum services lead to implement these best practices, where possible.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Post-secondary education and direct work experience in the area(s) of online learning/training preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a post-secondary environment.
    • Working knowledge of best practices in online education and adult education
    • Experience with learning management systems -LMS.
    • Experience in administrative work including usage of various technology tools.
    • Aware of  best practices in career services  / practicum and employment strategies for online learning
    • In-depth knowledge of post-secondary systems.

    Odgers Interim is seeking an Interim Director, Online Educational Content for our not-for-profit client, a producer of French educational content. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy for our client’s digital learning platforms. Collaborating across various teams, this individual will identify opportunities for their online learning services, creating new content for the educational space.

    Main Duties:
    Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Learning, the person will be responsible for:

    • Developing and ensuring the implementation of a content strategy for digital learning platforms under their responsibility. This strategy will have to:
    • Support the Strategic Plan and the Content and Distribution Strategy for the organization

    Requirements:

    • Bilingualism in French / English is a must
    • Master's degree in Education or in a relevant discipline, or combination equivalent studies and experiences
    • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in the field of education, educational content, digital learning, techno pedagogies
    • Management experience
    • Knowledge of cognitive, pedagogical and social theories and technologies student learning
    • Experience in project management, design or production of digital content
    • Capacity for creation, planning, organization and analysis, and superior verbal and written communication skills

    Job Summary
    Robertson College is currently seeking a Learning Management System Administrator for our Brightspace implementation team. The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator would be responsible for working with the team to help determine parameters and configuration of the system, including SIS integration. The Administrator would also be responsible for some of the day-to-day administration in the early stages of implementation.
    This is a role that requires technical experience with Brightspace. It is not an instructional design role.

    This is a short-term, contract position for a 3 - 4 month period.

    Instructional Designer
     
    ECG Education Canada Group - Robertson College is looking for an Instructional Designer to design course content for a Brightspace learning environment for various programs, courses and training initiatives. This role involves working with an education team to lead the design and implementation of e-learning experiences at The College.

    This is a full-time contract position with flexible working hours and location. The initial term is six months with the possibility of extension. Compensation will be based on education and experience.
     
    Responsibilities

    • Apply evidence-based instructional design theories, practice and methods in course creation.

    Position Description:

    CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Learning Technologist (Multimedia) to conceptualize, direct, shoot, edit videos and create other digital learning products to tell powerful stories that create engaging continuing education and professional development experiences. The Learning Technologist (Multimedia) will be responsible for capturing and packaging content in a compelling manner for microlearning, eLearning and other digital learning efforts. Demonstrated creativity is critical for this role.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Leverage video-production and multimedia skills to develop engaging microlearning, longer-format videos and other educational products.
    • Develop animations and graphics to add visual interest to video footage.
    • Set up and usage of professional video equipment, including cameras, green screen, microphones and lighting.
    • Coordinate all video shoot-related logistic.
    • Plan studio and field productions.
    • Execute post-production activities including editing and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
    • Develop learning podcasts, videos, webinars, mobile learning, gaming and, virtual classroom using collaborative technologies, social learning technologies, and other digital learning solutions.
    • Provide expertise and consultative support to peers in the development of eLearning, podcasts, webinars, and other digital learning solutions.
    • Qualification Requirements:
    • Post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate, preferably in multi-media related field, education technology, graphic design or a related field.
    • A minimum of 6 years’ experience utilizing multimedia and communication technologies in developing and deploying learning solutions in a demanding fast-paced environment working on multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Previous experience in a learning function or team, partnering with designers.
    • Experience with Learning and Content Management Systems, PC, Mac, and mobile platforms.
    • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other tools within the Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Proficiency in using tools such as Articulate, Captivate, and Lectora to develop learning based on design inputs a strong asset.
    • Awareness of learning design principles, including user interface and user experience design an asset.
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition, Media Encoder); Lightroom, Premiere, Final Cut Pro X.
    • Strong portfolio of multimedia and educational products.
